Release Date: December 1st, 2022

After I finished my massive Super Mario World video, I realized that this year marks the 30th anniversary of Super Mario Kart. Growing up, Super Mario Kart was a big part of my life. My best friend & I played it constantly. We unlocked everything in grand prix mode, went head-to-head in battle mode, and raced one-on-one for the last donut in the box.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish the video in time for the anniversary. But I think the delay was worth it. In this video, I not only wanted to touch on the creation of the game, but the impact it had in the living room. Super Mario Kart crossed generations with its accessibility. And who doesn’t love a good racing game? It’s no surprise Super Mario Kart was inducted in the World Video Game Hall of Fame.
