Release Date: December 18th, 2019
After the huge success of my previous video, “The Story of Super Mario Bros. 2”, making this episode was inevitable. Not only that, but this is probably my favorite Mario game. Because this was going to be my big video for 2019, I wanted to up my game even more. I purchased tons of magazines / books from Japan. I got several interviews translated. I purchased a high quality scanner and scanned in rare photos. I licensed footage from the BBC. This is also the first episode featuring a new camera, the Sony FS5 Mark II!
Making this video was proof, once again, that I enjoy big projects the most. But I also learned that I need to take care of myself. The long, sit-down editing sessions brought on some nerve pain in my left leg. My doctor told me to move around more!
This episode was the premiere of our new branding. It’s also the fastest to reach 1 million views! It hit that milestone in 12 days.
