The Top 10 Video Games Of All Time?

I’m sure most of you have seen way too many of these lists, but this one caught my eye because of the way they chose the games. This website has collected Top 10 lists from various magazines / websites dating all the way back to 1996 and ranked them based on the averages of the collected data.

I think this is a fairly solid list, although I wouldn’t put GoldenEye in the top 10. Obviously there is no definitive list: Everyone’s top 10 is going to be different.

      The wisdom of the masses usually results in the lowest common denominator, not the wisest choice. Simply: This list could be wrong. Also, there are inherent flaws with only taking samples within such a broad timeframe.

      However, that being said: This is a solid list! Though a bit Nintendo-heavy. Hm.

      This is a fairly solid list. I would not have put Half Life 2 above Doom though. I would have placed Chrono Trigger in the top 3 and also added Earthbound. Also replace Tetris with Tengen Tetris.

      The first two games on the list are the same as mine, just reversed; so it seems there just may be something to this list…

      hmmm….

      in no particular order, i like super metroid, legend of zelda a link to the past, xcom (the first one not the new one which does seem decent though!!), jagged alliance 2, castlevania symphony of the night, chronotrigger, tetris, sid meier’s civilization 3. ok so thats 8. there’s probably something i cant remember. other good ones, metal gear solid, deus ex human revolution (never played the first two), duke nukem 3d, mariokart wii (only played this and gamecube version), street fighter 2, baldur’s gate 2, batman arkham city. again i think there’s more and i know there are some games that are considered some of the best games all time, but i didnt play them. :D
